As a model I can tell you that its not easy looking for work, because the industry has a lot of models, and some of those models are willing to work for nothing sometimes. I have experienced that in my time but I can say over the years I have researched the below websites, and find that there is work out there.

These are the castings websites that I have found helpful to my career, as I find more I will Gladly Share! I will EVEN do REVIEWS ON YOUTUBE ON SOME of the Castings WEBSITES that are available.

Model Kit does not have to be expensive, however do plan on spending at least $200 a month on building your kit.

Wardrobe-
Some shoots - Commercial shoots will provide wardrobe.

If hired by a photographer be Prepared to have your own wardrobe on hand. Just ask the photographer what he or she is looking for.

you should always have the following:

Black high heels
stockings
solid colored bikini
neutral colored lingerie set (nude, white, black)

$50/ A month on new wardrobe

Cosmetics and Hair
When starting out as a model, you will not have the resources available to have a Make up Artist
So its good to invest in a decent kit, a place that as really good affordable and healthier make up alternatives is Melaleuca, they have a make up and hair line called Sei Bella.

Make up Kit

Great Quality Cleanser (Affina Facial Cleanser + Toner)
Exfoliant
Moisturizer
Sunscreen
H2O
Lip gloss palette
Eye shadows
Mascara
Foundation and concealer
A soft blush and or bronzer
Powder
Couple of brushes
False eyelashes and glue
Eyebrow powder
Eye and lip-liners
nail polish colors (neutral colors)

Hair Kit

A brush
A fine-toothed comb
Hairspray
Hair gel
A curling iron
A blow dryer
A lot bobby pins and hair ties
