I have always had obsession for naturally curly, but I could never actually figure out how to style my hair naturally, until I came a cross E Clarks YouTube channel. The fact that I did, I was inspired by her and I had to get an interview with her for the blog.
so THANK YOU EBONY!

1. Tell the readers a little bit about yourself.
My name is Ebony Clark, I’m 35 years young, and I
live in Norcross, GA. Currently, I’m in the real estate industry, but I
am getting ready to take a leap of faith and go back to school.
2. How and why did you start your YouTube channel for curly hair?
I started my channel in 2009, so I could be more
active with others on social media. Then, I began receiving requests to
do videos of my own. Slowly, but surely, I began making my own videos.
3.Being that you have natural hair what do to get your hair so long and curly the way that you do?
My hair is naturally curly. The length came with
time, patience, and good practices. As much as I'd love to have a
different style every week, I know that too much manipulation can cause
breakage. I keep my hair clean, moisturized and free from excess
manipulation, which gives my hair a chance to flourish.
4. What advice can you give the readers that have curly hair and don't know what to do with their hair?
Do the work. It's important to research, watch
videos, follow curly/textured hair blogs, spend time with a
consultant/stylist, etc. However, all the advice and watching all the
YouTube videos in the world will never trump experience. Apply what
you've learned. Practice doing what you've seen in videos or what you've
been told. Remain true to yourself and what works for you and YOUR
hair. Know that there are several characteristics that determine what
will or won’t work for your hair. Try not to box it in to an
alphanumeric system. Get a professional to give you a great shape so
that it'll be flattering to your face. A great shape can enhance your
curls as well. Ask them to also help you determine your texture (fine,
medium, coarse, etc.) and density (thin, medium, or thick.) Test
your porosity, try different products and apply them differently.
Realize that you may need a little more of this, and a little less of
that when the seasons change or if you move to a different climate. You
might be able to use some products better on wet versus dry hair, etc.
I cannot stress enough how important it is to do the work...Experiment,
and have FUN! :-)
5. What else do you do besides video blog?
I'm an image and marketing consultant. I also write
and spend lots of time as a freelance photographer. My beauty and
lifestyle blog will launch soon...hopefully this summer! To be notified
when it's complete, sign up at www.cultchure.com.
6. What is your inspiration?
I'm inspired by God's creation, and the creations
that come from people. It can be anything, from beautiful flowers to
beautiful places/landscapes, to the raw talent (music, visual art,
architecture, etc.) that comes from people. I see God in all of it.
7. Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now?
I see myself as a far better version of me. Although,
I'm getting better with age, I would love to be even MORE confident in
my decision making---being able to move faster in making the toughest
ones. I envision myself as a wife and mother, healthy, happy, and a
highly successful entrepreneur.
