GlamST is a new beauty app that gives you the chance to virtually try on different makeup styles.  

GlamST is an app for iOS that allows you to discover new makeup by choosing the styles you love and trying makeup on your photo. You can freely experiment from the comfort of your phone, try on makeup by snapping a selfie, choosing your style and seeing how makeup would really look on your face. Our goal is to make women feel comfortable with their choices and who they are daring them to experience the power of makeup and find the best-looking version of them. We are two women co-founders, telematics engineers from Uruguay, South America. As women engineers in a male-dominated world, we decided to bring innovation to a problem women face everyday: choosing make that's best for you and spotting the latest trends. 

HOW DOES IT WORK?

To use the app you can upload a selfie or use a pre-loaded picture.  With that picture you can set different styles of makeup, or even use celebrity inspired styles.  You can pick between Trendy, Sexy, Edgy, Glamorous, Fresh, or Hipster makeup styles.

I would have choose to use my own selfie but it is a lot of work to do this. 

The app automatically applies face, lip, and eye products to allow you to see different makeup looks, and a slider bar allows you to see the before and after.

once you can find the ideal look that you are looking for you can than make a purchase of the products that you wish to buy. 

OVERALL PROS AND CONS

Pros

• Gives you the chance to find new makeup inspirations
• View different makeup looks on the same person
• Shop the products used, directly on Sephora's website
• Discover products at different price ranges

Cons

• Time consuming to place the markers on your own selfie
• A lot of the makeup looks are similar
• Only has 3 pre-loaded models, so there is not a lot of different skin tones or face shapes.

Personally, I think the APP is really fun... but I do think and feel that there can be a few things that would  make the app a little better.
